About Us
“No to Sri Lanka” is a global campaign aimed at drawing attention to the economic contribution of foreign trade of Sri Lankan goods and services in maintaining concentration camps filled with innocent Tamil civilians. The campaign calls for pressure on the country’s leaders by asking local, international, and multinational industry to immediately place sanctions on Sri Lankan exports; pressure their Sri Lankan trade partners; and to isolate Sri Lanka in the global stage via institutional isolation, travel and trade restrictions. The heart of this campaign strategy is focused on pressing for the Sri Lankan government to allow aid groups, media and independent monitors unrestricted access to its internment camps and report on the horrendous conditions faced by thousands of Tamil civilians and finally, bring an effective and lasting political settlement.
We are calling for an international boycott of Sri Lanka as a form of consumer activism involving the act of voluntarily abstaining from consuming, and or dealing with the Sri Lankan government as an expression of protest, and to diminish arms procurement by the government.
